The conference is organised as a non-profit event by the EBF vzw.
The organisation of the conference is independent of all EBF member companies and conference sponsors.
Venue & travel
The 18th EBF Open Symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower, Barcelona – Spain, Gran Via 144, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat – 08907 Barcelona, Spain, Tel: +34 93 413 5000
From el Prat airport it is a 10-min taxi drive from T1/T2 (ask taxi driver for “Hesperia Tower”). Using public transport, take city bus N° 46 (bus stop outside T1 and T2 near taxis) with regular services to the bus stop near the hotel (= get off at Hospital de Bellvitge, about 10 minutes, card payment only).
To book your hotel
Both the Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower (conference venue) and the adjacent Fira suites are currently fully booked.
When selecting your hotel, please note that the Hyatt Hotel is conveniently connected to the Barcelona city centre via the L1 metro line. Taxis are available at the hotel entrance.
All delegates are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Please note that hotel bookings are independent of the EBF.
Registration is closed for regular industry/academic delegates (including delegates from sponsors)

- 1st authors of scientific poster can still register. We will contact you to communicate the details for registration.
- Delegates from organisations which are not yet represented in our meeting can still register (maximum 2 delegates) . To inquire, send a mail to admin@e-b-f.eu with subject “18th OS – Inquiring to register”. Only mails will this subject will be noticed and notified.
From 04 OCT 2025:
- No registrations will be accepted anymore. We will be building a waiting list until 10 November 2025 in case we see a cancelation. We will notify you when a seat becomes available.
- To inquire, send a mail to admin@e-b-f.eu with subject “18th OS – Inquiring to go on the waiting list”. Only mails will this subject will be noticed and notified.
Small Print
There will be no early-bird rate nor 1-day passes.
Registration passes are personal and cannot be shared. Any name change for the full registration is possible but needs to be communicated to admin@e-b-f.eu with original and new name before November 19th.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation needs to be done 14 days before the meeting start date.
Payment of the full conference fee will be required if cancelled after that date or on “no-show”.
