Some background on this year’s theme:
In good tradition of commemorating historic events as branding for our meetings, we dedicate our 17th Open Symposium to remember 2 great scientists. In 2024, it will be 300 years ago that Daniel Fahrenheit proposed his temperature scale, coincidently 200 years ago that William Thomson (AKA Lord Kelvin) was born. Together with solar activity peaking in fall 2024, this inspired us to Take the Temperature of Bioanalysis at our 17th Open Symposium
The general Call for abstracts is closed since 22-AUG-2024.
However, there are still a few open slots.

The 17th EBF Open Symposium will be held at the Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower, Barcelona – Spain, Gran Via 144, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat – 08907 Barcelona, Spain, Tel: +34 93 413 5000
From el Prat airport it is a 10-min taxi drive from T1/T2 (ask taxi driver for “Hesperia Tower”). Using public transport, take city bus N° 46 (bus stop outside T1 and T2 near taxis) with regular services to the bus stop near the hotel (= get off at Hospital de Bellvitge, about 10 minutes, card payment only).

When selecting another hotel, consider that the Hyatt hotel connects with Barcelona city centre via the L1 metro line.
All delegates will need to make their own hotel reservations. Hotel reservations are independent from the EBF.

Registration fee = 920 Euro and includes lunches/coffee breaks and cocktail reception (excl. lodging).
Note that there will again be no vouchers in 2024. Sponsor delegates will need to register as industry delegate

Small print:
There will be no early-bird rate nor 1-day passes.
Registration passes are personal and cannot be shared. Any name change for the full registration is possible but needs to be communicated to admin@e-b-f.eu with original and new name before November 19th .
Web-registration closes on November 10th or when the maximum capacity of the meeting is reached (550 delegates). Registration after the deadline of November 10th will need to be approved by the EBF (mail to admin@e-b-f.eu) and involves cash payment on site (at increased rate of 1000 Euro).
Update September 6th: At the current rate of registration, we are likely closing the registration around October 15th. We will announce the closing of the registration one week in advance on the website and via our usual mass mailing.
Cancellation policy:
Cancellation needs to be done 14 days before the meeting start date.
Payment of the full conference fee will be required if cancelled after that date or on “no-show”.
